Also, Pirate, Insomniac had a game on the PlayStation before Spyro, a FPS called Disrupter. As for whom I prefer, I couldn't say. To be honest, I preferred the three Spyro games to the Crash games on the PlayStation, while I think that last generation, Insomniac did better than Naughty Dog did. While I do think that the original Jak and Daxter was the best game that either team made for the PlayStation 2, Jak II was disappointing for me, and while I found that Jak 3 was an improvement, I real...
The thing about "Let Us Cling Together" is that it wasn't a mistranslation, but that it's actually taken from a Queen song called "Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together)" from "A Day at The Races". The use of the word "Ogre" in the title references the titles of one of its predecessors, "Ogre Battle", which also took its name from a Queen song. I think there was also another game from this series that was called "March of the Black Queen&q...
I was hoping that Sega would, failing to release a good Sonic game, re-release this game on the current generation consoles, particularly after the release of Soul Calibur on Xbox Live. I owned Adventure DX and Adventure 2: Battle for the Gamecube, and I really enjoyed them, so I hope this does turn out to be a re-release(it'll washout the memories of Sonic the Hedgehog for PlayStation and Xbox 360).
I'm sure I read somewhere, when the game was first announced, that there would be stealth elements in Uncharted 2.
Funny thing is, now Activision own Spyro and Crash, seeing that Activision were acquired by Vivendi. They've yet to release a game that Activision have been involved in, with this year being the first year since 1996 without a Crash game, and the first year since 1998 without a Spyro game(that's not counting any mobile phone games). I don't want to imagine what Activision will do to theses two franchises.
I personally thought that, of the original three games, Jak II was the weakest. The aesthetic didn't compare to the of the original; dark, degraded city and sewers versus fantasy Precursor buildings, while I though that the vehicles (the hover bikes/ cars) were only okay at best. I found the third game to be a better sequel by mixing the aesthetics of the first two games together, while introducing new, better vehicles(the dune buggies). As for Jak X, I personally found it disappointing, part...
I own both Folklore and Heavenly Sword, and it has to be said, it's a real shame they sold so (relatively) poorly. I thought that they are both great games(an opinion shared by many others, it appears) which I could see having even better sequels, as both of their developers appeared dedicated to their games and would probably have ironed out any major flaws in their respective sequels. Disappointingly, both Ninja Theory and Game Republic have ruled out any sequels(at least for the time being...
I remember reading something last year about a new Dark Cloud for PS3, so my money is on that.
I like to imagine this generation lasting longer than previous ones, and I would hate to see one company force us into the next one by releasing a new console so early.
It has to be said that the PSP Go is quite unappealing to me, a person who has yet to buy a PSP, in comparison to the PSP 3000 model. I mean, the UMD I can live without, if the prices for games on the PS Store were low enough, but the price and the battery life aren't doing Sony any favours. Oh PSP Go, you're about as appealing as a nuclear war.
"If it gots the name Halo in the title you know its going to be a Legendary game. Once again it feels good to own a 360."

Oh yes, you're so obviously correct chavafx, because, as we all know, Splinter Cell: Conviction was announced last year, while God of War was the game that was announced in 2007 and delayed for a year and a half.
Don't forget Splinter Cell: Conviction.
To be fair, I must agree with him on points 2 and 3. Though often discussed, the points are still valid. The BC was a strength of the PS2: sure, the console was made to play PS2 games first and foremost(obviously), but it did mean that those who did not own a PSOne could play that console's games without having to purchase the console in addition to a PS2.
As for the PSOne Classics; while not necessary, they were promised by Sony for their customers, and Sony have released few PS...
These delays have really annoyed me. The PS3 being delayed here in Europe and in other PAL regions was bad enough, but one of the games that got me to buy the PS3, Tekken 6, which was first shown(in teaser form, but so was MGS4) at E3 2005, has still not been released on PS3(it has been in arcades, but only in arcades). Unlike the other major game in this position, Killzone 2, there has been nearly no news on the PS3 version recently(not counting all those rumours of a 360 version), the last ...
But please tell me that the European release date for Tekken 6 is wrong. Four months after the North American release! That can't be, particularly after Soulcalibur IV, another Namco fighting game, was released in Europe some two days after the North American release.
I purchased NG:S along with Ratchet and Clank F:TOD, and after completing the game once on normal, I just spent the rest of my time on Ratchet and Clank, as I found the game's camera poor and thought that losing everything I earned when I started a higher difficulty wasn't enticing. Having later purchased the far superior(in my opinion) DMC4, I now consider NG:S a huge disappointment and the poorest PS3 game I currently own(not counting that awful Sonic game, but I pretty much disowned that f...
So much for PSOne classics. The amount of those games we're getting here in Europe is so poor that it makes the amount North America receives look decent.
I must say, MGS4 is the best game I have played for a long time now. At the very least, it's the best game of this generation, in my opinion of course. Anyway, I can't really care for what the critical establishment has to say now. After all that over-rating of GTAIV, I can't take their views seriously anymore. Yes, it's all subjective, but how can something that is actually smaller than and has lost features (while having not added any new ones) from its predecessors be the greatest game of ...
People, really, religion may be a common factor in wars(which, in a world where we attack each other over our tastes in video games and music, waring over something like religion is unsurprising), but the reality is that real estate, or geopolitics, is the most common cause of wars, or ties in with other causes. For example, World War II? Lebensraum for the "master race".
